Sussex Wedding Venue. Functions, meetings & events at The Anchor Inn, Barcombe

The Anchor Inn has a licence to offer civil weddings in the Longford Room or cater only for the reception party from buffets to sit down meals. Offering boating facilities for the wedding party on the river Ouse, beautiful gardens and a stylish marquee catering for up to 180 guests.

It is possible to have both the wedding ceremony and the reception on the premises which been approved by East Sussex County Council for the solemnization of marriages in pursuance of section 26(1)(bb) of the Marriage Act 1949. Ceremonies can only be held in our newly refurbished wedding room seating up to thirty-five guests.

The marquee is available for functions from 40 to 180 guests. It is beautifully
lined and comes with flooring and a dance floor. It is positioned in the rear
garden, which provides riverside seating for guests. The sides of the marquee
can be lifted to provide views to the river and open countryside.

Boating is also available for the wedding party and makes an excellent feature
for your day, this can be done by the hour and we have enough boats for 70
people to be on the water at any one time. The Anchor has boating rights over
two miles of the most beautiful stretch of the river Ouse which extends from
the Anchor to the attractive fish ladder falls just below Sutton Hall.

For the evening, party-style buffets can be arranged and entertainment can be
provided by either disco or live band, or just the bar if you prefer. The Anchor
can also arrange a late licence for your party.
